The mission of The Churchill Society of New Orleans is to spread appreciation of the thoughts, words, and deeds of Winston Spencer Churchill, to foster an outlook on world events that builds on his leadership, his wisdom, his courage, his love of Anglo-American traditions, and his renowned prescience and to enjoy the brilliance of his writings, his speeches and his wit.

The judges have spoken! The winners of the 2023-2024 High School Essay Contest are the following:

Upcoming Events:

Wine, Wit and Wisdom
Members and their guests are invited to attend Wine, Wit and Wisdom, taking place this year on May 1, at the Andrew Jackson Apartments. Doors open at 6 and the program begins at about 6:45. Wine and other beverages will be served, as well as small bites. We are pleased that again this year the winner of our annual High-School Essay Contest will read his winning essay. Also, we hope to hear from YOU! Those who attend are encouraged to prepare a short story or quote by or about Churchill, taking no more than two minutes. The name of each person (not a Board member) who participates in this way will be entered in a drawing for a special prize.
